Perfect Green Attends Green Seminar and Site VisitsPerfect Green actively participates in various environmental activities. Our representatives attended the Green Building Symposium held by CLP in October. Many distinguished guests, experts and company representatives from different sectors and property management companies were invited to share their experiences in implementing green building practices, so as to support the objective of building a green city together.
Perfect Green team visited the District Cooling System (DCS) at Kai Tak Development in November. The DCS is the first project of its kind to be implemented by the Government in Hong Kong. The central chiller plant supplies chilled water and conveys it to the user buildings for cooling purpose via underground chilled water pipe network. DCS consumes 35% less electricity as compared with traditional air-cooled air-conditioning systems, will save electricity consumption up to 85 million kWh and reduce carbon dioxide emission by 59,500 tonnes annually.
Moreover, participates of Perfect Green also visited Airport Authority's waste management system in November. We were able to understand management of waste from aircraft, the comprehensive food waste management programme and the waste water management and triple water system.
